This year we’re making a difference and you can too!!! By partnering with Reforest Nation, we will plant a real tree for every artificial tree sold this Christmas in store & online at Stakelums Home & Hardware. Reforest Nation is Ireland’s leading tree planting organisation and we’re delighted to support their ambitious goal of planting 10 million trees by 2030.
Making a Difference
Choose from our range of high-quality artificial Christmas trees and with each purchase, we’ll plant a tree on your behalf. It’s a simple choice with a lasting impact. Every tree planted helps to absorb carbon dioxide, reducing our carbon footprint, while making a real difference in combating climate change. Together, we’re planting the seeds for a healthier, more sustainable planet.
Pledging Towards a Sustainable Legacy:
By adopting a forward-thinking approach to environmental responsibility, Stakelums Home & Hardware commits to contribute a real tree for every artificial Christmas tree or crate of logs sold. This collaboration underscores both entities’ dedication to ecological restoration and sets a precedent for other businesses.
Reforest Nation’s Vision and History:
Starting as a modest project by Irish Biology students in Termonfeckin Co. Louth, Reforest Nation has witnessed exponential growth to become Ireland’s largest reforestation organisation. From its humble origins, it now plants trees across the entirety of the island of Ireland and has even expanded its impact internationally, to date the initiative has already planted over one million trees and counting. A testament to their innovative approach, Reforest Nation is also behind Europe’s largest Miyawaki-inspired forest — a significant achievement in forest restoration.
“From the inception of Reforest Nation, our dream was clear: to restore Ireland’s natural heritage, champion biodiversity, and craft a legacy for future generations. Collaborations like the one with Stakelums Home & Hardware propels us closer to this dream and signifies a step toward reclaiming our environment.” – Gearóid Mc Evoy, Founder of Reforest Nation
