We’re thrilled to share that Stakelums Garden Centre has officially relaunched, and what a weekend of celebrations it was! From community gatherings to expert gardening advice, it was three days full of fun, learning, and inspiration for all who attended.
Thursday – Community at the Heart 💚
We were delighted to welcome Thurles Care Group to be among the first to experience the refreshed Garden Centre. The afternoon was filled with singing, music, laughter, and plenty of tea, coffee, and buns. It was a joy to give back to the community and share the new space with such a wonderful group of people.
Friday – Floral Inspiration with Olivia’s Flowers 🌸
On Friday, we were joined by Olivia from Olivia’s Flowers, who hosted a fantastic live demonstration on using foliage to elevate wreaths and centrepiece designs. Her creativity and tips inspired customers to bring a fresh, natural touch into their homes this season.
Saturday – Expert Talks with The Irish Gardener 🌱
Saturday brought something truly special with The Irish Gardener, Peter Dowdall. Peter gave two insightful talks covering:
🌿 How to encourage biodiversity in your garden
🌿 How to choose the right plants for your unique space
After each session, Peter spent time meeting customers, answering questions, and offering tailored advice on their plants and gardening projects. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from one of Ireland’s best-loved gardening experts.
Gardening Advice All Year Round 🌼
We’re also proud to introduce Matty, our full-time horticulturist, who is now available in-store to provide expert gardening advice all year round. Whether you’re tackling a new project, need help choosing plants, or want tips for keeping your garden thriving, Matty is here to guide you. Plus, be sure to explore our wide range of garden care products, from soil enrichers to plant food and everything in between, to keep your garden looking it’s best all year long..
